It is hard to predict when any of our 70+ members of the TortoiseLand family will need veterinary care and we are having to dig deep for unplanned expenses to help Dee and Sammy. TortoiseLand is a sanctuary for tortoises in Los Angeles, CA. Our 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization rescues, rehabilitates, rehomes tortoises and we educate the public about their vital importance in our world. Tortoises make fantastic companions, but some of these majestic creatures unfortunately end up sick, neglected, abandoned, or dead. Many species are endangered, and some are on the brink of extinction. Our mission is to make the world a better place for tortoises and save them before it’s too late.
